The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has released the NORCET-11 (Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test) notification for the recruitment of 2,218 Nursing Officer posts across 27 participating AIIMS institutes and allied hospitals. Educational Qualification


Candidates should possess either of the following:

Option 1

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognised university, or
  • Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing,
  • Registered as Nurse & Midwife with State/Indian Nursing Council.

Option 2

  • Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM),
  • Registered as Nurse & Midwife with State/Indian Nursing Council,
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a 50-bedded hospital after registration.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 30 Years

Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Government of India rules.

Selection Process


The recruitment will be conducted in two stages:

  1. Stage-I: NORCET Preliminary (CBT)
  2. Stage-II: NORCET Mains (CBT)
  3. Document Verification
  4. Medical Examination

Stage-I (Preliminary)

  • 100 MCQs
  • 90 Minutes
  • Qualifying Nature
  • Negative Marking: 1/3 mark

Stage-II (Mains)

  • 160 MCQs
  • 180 Minutes
  • Merit-Based
  • Negative Marking: 1/3 mark

Pay Scale

  • Pay Level-7
  • Pay Matrix (7th CPC)
  • Pre-revised Pay Band-2: ₹9,300–34,800 + Grade Pay ₹4,600, along with applicable Central Government allowances.
